Event Signage for a Date That Does Not Move
Event print runs to a fixed deadline. A trade show opens at 9am and a convention-centre bump-in can leave only hours to install everything. The safest approach is to order early enough to allow for a reprint if needed and choose display products that can be assembled quickly without specialist tools.
PALS prints and ships the graphics and display stands. Installation on the day is handled by your team or stand builder. Quick turnaround. Australia-wide shipping from $14.99.
What events & exhibitions order most
Pull-Up (Retractable) Banner
The standard exhibition display. It packs into a carry bag, stands on its own and needs no tools to set up. It is worth carrying a spare, because there is little time to replace a damaged banner on event morning.
X-Frame Banner Stands
A lightweight, economical display for short events, foyers and registration areas. Easy to transport and a practical choice when the stand kit is travelling between cities.
Event Arch Backdrops
A standout entrance feature designed for high-visibility photo opportunities. Printed on rigid board and supplied flat, so check the venue requirements before confirming the final size.
Custom Polaroid / Selfie Frame
Hand-held selfie frames for photo walls and social content. Keep handles, hashtags and key branding positioned where they remain visible when the frame is being held.
Auction Paddles
Numbered paddles for charity auctions, galas and livestock events. Printed as a numbered sequence so each paddle can be matched directly to the bidder register.
Events and Promo Signs
Practical parking, entry, registration and wayfinding signs printed on Corflute. These often get overlooked, so include them in the main order alongside the exhibition displays.
The deadline is the specification
On most print jobs, being a day late is a nuisance. For an event, it can make the entire order useless. A banner arriving on Wednesday for a Tuesday show has missed its deadline, so work backwards from bump-in and allow enough time for both production and freight.
When artwork is still going through approval, order the hardware first and have the printed graphics follow once artwork is signed off. That way, the entire order is not held up by one outstanding approval.
Quick turnaround. Australia-wide shipping from $14.99. Freight time is additional to production and varies by venue location, so check the delivery timeframe before setting a tight deadline.
How this plays out
A two-hour bump-in at a convention centre
The stand opens at seven and the hall closes before doors. Everything needs to come out of a bag, stand independently and require no tools or wall fixings. That makes pull-up banners and freestanding displays the practical choice for tight exhibition bump-ins.
A gala dinner with a live auction
The room needs numbered auction paddles, an arrival backdrop or arch, and directional signage from the foyer to the venue. Paddle numbers should run in sequence and match the bidder register, so they are ordered as a numbered set rather than identical boards.
The same stand, five regional shows
A roadshow can reuse the display hardware while changing the graphics. A quality pull-up cassette can take replacement banners, meaning later events only require a new printed graphic rather than another complete stand. For a travelling exhibition stand, reusable hardware can significantly reduce the cost of repeat shows.
Questions we get asked
How far ahead do I need to order for an event?
Work backwards from bump-in, not the event date. Quick turnaround covers production, but transit time is additional, especially for interstate deliveries. When artwork approval is still moving, order the hardware first and follow with the printed graphic. Leave enough time for a reprint so a production issue does not become an event-day problem.
Can you ship straight to the venue?
Yes. Australia-wide shipping from $14.99 is available to venue addresses. Include a named recipient, stand or room number and expected delivery date so the venue can accept the shipment. Check the loading dock and receiving hours before ordering so the delivery does not arrive when the venue is closed.
What size should pull-up banner artwork be?
Set artwork to the finished banner size, but keep important content clear of the bottom section covered by the cassette. The visible area varies between stands, so check the usable graphic height for the specific model rather than assuming every pull-up banner is the same.
Can I keep the stand and just replace the banner?
Usually, yes. Many pull-up cassettes allow you to replace the printed graphic while keeping the hardware, making repeat events much cheaper. Compatibility varies between stands, so provide the stand model or a photo of the cassette and top rail before ordering a replacement graphic.
