Metal Signs
ACM and aluminium panels for buildings, sites and safety signage.
About window films & graphics
Built for long-term outdoor durability, our metal signage uses aluminium composite panels (ACP): twin aluminium faces over a solid composite core. It stays completely flat, never rusts, and takes vibrant direct UV prints—the gold-standard choice for shopfront fascias, site boards, and safety notices. For heavy-abuse environments or signs that need custom roll-curving, we offer solid aluminium sheeting.

Materials compared
| Material | Thickness | Indoor / outdoor | Expected outdoor life | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ACM, aluminium composite | 3mm | Both | 7 to 10 years | Fascias, site boards, safety and building signs |
| ACM, heavy duty | 5mm | Outdoor | 7 to 10 years | Large unsupported panels and gantry signs |
| Aluminium sheet | 1.6 and 2mm | Outdoor | 10 years or more | Signs that take knocks or need bending |
| ACM with cast vinyl overlay | 3mm | Outdoor | 5 to 7 years | Colour-critical brand work and part-changes |

Questions we get asked
ACM or solid aluminium?
Choose ACM for nearly every standard application: it is lighter, lies flatter, costs less, and delivers exceptional print quality. Reserve solid aluminium for environments where the sign faces blunt physical impact, needs to be rolled into a curve, or where fire/core ratings prohibit synthetic materials, as solid sheets carry higher raw material and freight costs.
How do you fix it to a wall?
The standard method is corner drilling using masonry screws fitted with cup washers. For long outdoor runs, request slightly oversized drill holes so the metal can expand in direct sunlight without warping. If you prefer a seamless face without visible screw heads, panels can be mounted with high-strength structural VHB tape or mechanically secured to a concealed subframe.
Can you make safety signs in the standard layout?
Yes. Provide your text and we will format it to compliant safety conventions, featuring the appropriate signal header, standard pictograms, and color-coded message panels. If your facility requires compliance with a specific regional or site safety code, let us know and we will align the layout directly to those regulations.
Do the corners have to be square?
No, and rounded (radiused) corners are generally better: they are safer to handle, resist wind drag and peeling, and provide a sleeker, finished look. We can also CNC-route the sheet into custom shapes and silhouettes if your project calls for unique contours.
Can it be printed on both sides?
Yes, which is ideal for hanging or cantilevered blade signs. Standard ACM sheets feature a printable front surface and a protective mill-finish reverse, so true double-sided displays are typically manufactured by bonding two finished panels back-to-back. We will quote and build them this way to ensure an identical, premium finish on both sides.
